Der „Alpha Chair“ beruht auf der Idee, dass sich Stahlblech falten lassen müsste wie Papier. Per Laser wird 1,5mm dickes Blech zugeschnitten und perforiert. Durch 3-dimensionale Faltung und seitliche Abkantung erhält die Sitzschale ihre Form und Stabilität. Vier Eichenprofile machen das Ganze zu einem Stuhl, der sogar noch stapelbar ist.
The „Alpha Chair“ is based on the idea that it is possible to fold sheet steel just like paper. A Laser cuts and perforates the 1,5mm sheet. Because of the 3-dimensional and lateral foldings the seat shell becomes stiff and gets its characteristic shape. Four oak profiles are making a (stackable) chair out of it.
