The geometry of the HKN coat hook offers various options for hanging jackets, scarves or bags. Just as the name of the hook is an abbreviated form of the German word “Haken”, any superfluous material was also removed from the shape of the hook. 

The HKN coat hook is made from 100% recycled plastic waste that is locally collected and remoulded by DAS REZYKLAT in Essen, Germany. A date stamp and the recycling code are prominently placed on the side of the hook. 

Due to the recycling process of the plastic, each hook is ultimately a one-off. DAS REZYKLAT has developed three exclusive colour blends, which they call “More than Black”, “Colourful Grey” and “Almost White”. 

The design of the HKN coat hook is based on the construction of Euro containers, which are based on the principle of the so-called “Rahmenkonstruktion” (which translates to 'frame construction'). The frame construction makes the hook lightweight yet highly resilient.

Just as the information about the material and the date of manufacture are prominently visible on the product, attaching the hook to the wall is also done with two visible screws.
